The authors reviewed 39 cases of hand tumor which were treated surgically at Seoul Paik Hospital between 1989 and 1993. Among 39 cases, benign tumor was 36 cases(92%) and malignant tumor was 3 cases(8%). There were 15(38%) bone tumors, among
which
enchondroma was the most common(10 cases, 66.6%) type. 24 soft tissue tumors were treated and the most common soft tissue tumor was ganglion. 11 cases(45.8%). The soft tissue tumors were excised and bone tumor were curetted and bone graft was
done.
In
one case of malignant melanoma and one case of squamous cell carcinoma, amputation was performed.
